This has got to be the number one excuse for stripping.
Michigan Residents pay about $30,000 and year and nonresidents pay $62,000 per year* that doesn’t include food and shelter either. About as much as someone with a good full-time job get paid a year. In the past when the myth started it was a third of that and the guys did throw money like mad. Today not so much. They pay for sex though.
Stripping is not easy work. Let’s look at a typical work night and we will start from getting ready for work. They are going to need a shower, wash their hair and start or do their makeup then drive to the club. Figure a conservative 2 hours but most likely all day if you include the tanning… They need to be to work by 6:30 to go on stage at 7 so they will need to get started about 4-4:30. They get off stage a 2 am and then it’s time to head home. depending on how trashed they are they might stay up a few more hours or just go to sleep. leaving then going to bed at 5 or 6 in the morning or about an hour or two before classes start for the day. That leaves a few hours a day to spend in classes or doing the study and prep work. Not including their sleep, this means they spend around 12 hours working a “college job”.
That’s right, they have to do study and prep work to go along with the roughly 15 hours of actual class time. The recommended number of hours a student should spend on study and prep work to do well is about 40 hours a week. That makes college a full-time job, with overtime.**. Ad it all up the person needs to work about 67 hours a week if they are going to be working as a stripper to pay for college. Hopefully, they sleep and eat for another 8 hours a day which equals 56 hours a week.
Let’s do the math, there are 168 hours in a week. Class time 15 hours, Study Time 40 hours, sleep and eat time 56 hours, and that leaves 57 hours or 8 hours a day to take care of things like bathing, buying food, getting from one place to another, socializing networking, participating in school clubs and events, and sports. Don’t forget travel time for all these things either. So it’s possible for someone to do this and many claim to have been able to strip their way through college but they are going to be cutting into their community and study time, the reason they are there.
But what do we get in society?
If they get up at noon or after 8 hours it’s just time to go back to the club making it impossible to be a serious student. But then they say well we just work Friday and Saturday nights and it “doesn’t interfere with my schoolwork”. So then you have to pull those big numbers like the $500 or $1000 a night which means and you know it. Your gonna be sucking and fucking anyone that has cash in hand to get there because they know they only have a couple of days they can ‘work’. But hey, they might get lucky and an old customer will pay them to sit at a table all night and they might not even have to fuck him. Good luck with that. Rich guys just pay thousands to sit in bars with strippers all the time. They are just that great of company.
Now if instead, they want to spend there summer stripping it’s real easy, sorta. Just don’t forget that the Strip Club owner knows they need the job and that even if they don’t think they will. They will do whatever they are told to do.
Here’s the main thing. They are going to school to make decisions that might just affect someone’s life. They are going to school for something that requires the cream of the crop which is something all college students have achieved. But unfortunately, as a stripper, they are making bad choices that surely affect their grades and well let me put it this way… Would you want any product or advice from someone you knew chooses to do things like suck a dick after it’s been up their ass?
I really don’t want strippers thoughts about anything. Who would?
All college students deserve more respect than to be thought of as possibly being part-time Strippers / Prostitutes / Sex workers.
